Western powerhouse Memphis needs emergency blood transfusion after ‘shocking opening three-game losing streak’ to big men

Memphis has signed Bismack Biyombo.

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Bismack Biyombo, The Athletic reported on Monday (Nov. 29).

Memphis has been a consistent force in recent years, earning the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference for the second straight season. The team was expected to be just as dominant this season. 토토사이트

However, the early season hasn’t gone well for Memphis. Following losses to New Orleans and Denver, they were swept by a rebuilding Washington team to open the season with three straight losses.

Memphis has been hampered by a number of roster departures. After losing ace Jarrett Morant to an early-season suspension for a gun issue, the Grizzlies have also lost Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke to injury.

Memphis currently has no competitive big men on the roster outside of Jaren Jackson Jr. Add to that the fact that Adams was ruled out for the season, and the Tigers needed to add a center to keep the season alive.

In an emergency transfusion, Memphis signed Bismack Biyombo, who was still on the free agent market. After averaging 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocked shots for Phoenix last season, Biyombo is a big man whose strength lies in rim protection.

His offense is a bit monotonous, but it’s the best option for Memphis right now. He should be able to step right into the roster and earn playing time.
