Major League Baseball (MLB) Texas Rangers starting pitcher Max Scherzer, 39, has a chance to redeem himself. He’ll start Game 7 of the best-of-seven American League Championship Series (ALCS), which will decide the fate of his team.
Texas has selected Scherzer to start Game 7 of the 2023 MLB ALCS against Houston on April 24 at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
Scherzer, who is coming off a shoulder injury, took the mound for the first time in 36 days when he started Game 3 of the ALCS against Houston on April 19.
But he was shaken up in his return. He gave up five runs on five hits (one homer) in four innings of work, including a home run, and his team lost 5-8.
Fortunately, Scherzer’s fall wasn’t over. Texas dropped games four and five and were in danger of being eliminated from the series at 2-3, but they bounced back with a 9-2 win in game six to force a seventh game. 짱구카지노
Experience is a strong weapon for Scherzer, who is in his 16th year in the big leagues. This is his 10th postseason appearance, and in 28 career games (23 starts), he’s compiled a 7-8 record, one save, two holds, and a respectable 3.80 ERA.
In 2019 with the Washington Nationals, he went 3-0 with a 2.40 ERA in six starts and won his first World Series ring.
Scherzer’s starting opponent will be Houston’s Christian Javier. Momentum-wise, Javier has the edge. He’s won both of his postseason games this year, allowing just two runs in 10⅔ innings of work.
