Jang Kook-Kook (Nagasaki Belka) has begun his B-League adjustment in earnest.
Jang scored 12 points with four 3-pointers in 20 minutes and three seconds of action in the 2023-2024 Japan Men’s Professional Basketball (B League) home game against the Chiba Jets at the Nagasaki Prefectural Gymnasium on Monday. Jang was once a promising long swingman for KCC, but he struggled to develop his game. After moving to Samsung, his game seemed to regress, and he was an invisible presence. He decided to take on a new challenge ahead of this season.
Jang went scoreless in the opening game on Aug. 8, but warmed up on this day. He led Nagasaki to an 89-86 victory. Nagasaki swept the opening two games. They will host the Toyoma Grouse for a two-game series on Nov. 14-15.
