Sharania “Golden State ‘kicks out’ ‘Superman’ Howard”…With nowhere else to go, Howard tries to return to NBA with tryouts

The Golden State Warriors have given up on acquiring “Superman” Dwight Howard.

NBA Insider Shams Sharania reported on social media on Wednesday (Jan. 23) that the Warriors have turned down the offer of center Howard in favor of an additional wing.

“The Warriors are not expected to sign Howard or another veteran center ahead of training camp, sources said,” Sharania wrote.

Howard spent two days meeting with Golden State officials and participating in workouts.

With a trip to Golden State out of the question, Howard is expected to discuss his potential return to the league with interested teams over the next week or so.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Golden State is prioritizing adding a wing over a big man like Howard.

Howard disappeared from the NBA scene after playing for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2021-2022 season. That season, he averaged 6.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 0.6 blocked shots in 16.2 minutes per game. 토토사이트

An eight-time All-Star, Howard won Defensive Player of the Year three times during his NBA career and was named to the All-Defensive team five times.
